Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inclusive English language lessons that cater to students of different proficiency levels to help them access the curriculum.

Contribute to the development of a multilingual learning environment that values and promotes linguistic diversity.

Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students across a range of grades and language levels.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all students can access and thrive within the IB curriculum.

Support mainstream curriculum teachers by providing guidance and strategies for scaffolding, differentiation, and language support across subject areas and evaluate relevant standards.

Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage but not essential

Desired Candidate Profile

Hold a relevant teaching qualification for language aquisition or ELL (Tofel or Celta)

Have experience teaching language acquisition within or english as a second Language within an IB or international context but not essential.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiation strategies and language support frameworks.

Be flexible, collaborative, and reflective, with a genuine passion for working with multilingual learners.

Exhibit international-mindedness and the ability to teach for a global audience.

Be skilled in sharing professional expertise and guiding colleagues across disciplines.
