Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include supporting undergraduate business and economics courses, working with lead instructors on instructional materials and course content design, coordinating content across courses, holding recitations and office hours, working closely with students, and supporting our general educational mission.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong business background, relevant professional experience, and hands-on proficiency in coding and business analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a closely related field. A master's degree in a business-related field is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant professional or industry experience (e.g., consulting, analytics, operations, or a related business function).
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience applying these tools to business analytics problems (e.g., data analysis, dashboards, forecasting, or similar).
- Demonstrated interest or experience in applying AI tools (e.g., LLMs, Applications, AI agents, etc.) to business contexts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The Business Administration program at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant position. This position is designed for candidates with a business background and strong business analytics skills who are interested in contributing to the educational mission of the business program through course and faculty support, student instruction, and exploration of AI tools in business education. The successful candidate is expected to begin work in August 2026. CMU in Qatar (CMUQ) operates in concert with several other American and European branch campuses under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation's Education City. The branch campus closely follows the admissions requirements and English language curriculum of the home campus in Pittsburgh, USA which awards all degrees. The several thousand students in the Education City are a broad mix of nationalities, but primarily from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. CMUQ's faculty is a mix of professionals hired specifically for this campus and seconded by faculty from the main campus. CMUQ's primary focus is undergraduate education in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, and Information Systems.
