Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering Department is seeking to hire Full-Time Teaching Assistant that supports professors and helps students succeed in courses related to operations, optimization, systems, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Grading assignments, reports, and exams
Provide feedback on homework, lab reports, design projects, and tests.
- Holding office hours
Answer student questions, explain concepts, and assist with coursework.
- Leading discussion or lab sessions
Review lecture material, guide problem-solving, or run software labs.
- Course prep
Help create homework problems, quizzes, or tutorial slides.
- Project coaching
Support student teams working on process improvement, simulation, or design projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering with overall GPA >3.3.
- Strong knowledge of core IE subjects.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with modeling & optimization software.
- Professional communication & time management.
- Patience and empathy when helping students.
