Roles & Responsibilities
The Team Lead - Speech and Language Therapy is responsible for overseeing and coordinating speech and language therapy services within the facility. This role involves leading a team of speech-language therapists, developing treatment plans, ensuring quality patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of speech and language therapists.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed.
Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, standards, and regulations.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide holistic patient care.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Manage departmental resources, schedules, and budgets.
Promote a patient-centered approach and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Stay updated with latest research, techniques, and advancements in speech-language therapy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Speech and Language Therapy.
Valid license/certification to practice as a Speech-Language Therapist.
Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) in speech and language therapy, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
