Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, dishware, and food preparation areas. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Stewarding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within a high-volume hotel, restaurant, or catering operation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial dishwashing equipment and industrial cleaning chemicals, as well as proper handling and safety procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local Health and Safety/HACCP standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
