Technical Assistant

Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of fisheries projects.

Support in providing information and documentation for the development of project proposals, work plans, budgets, and technical documentation.

Conduct field visits, assessments, and surveys to collect data and provide input for project improvement.

Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and recommendations.

Assist in the coordination among project partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.

Assist in organizing and participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to fisheries projects.

In collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) unit, support the development and implementation of M&E frameworks for fisheries projects.

Assist in tracking project progress and preparing regular reports.

Ensure compliance with FAO guidelines and standards in all project activities.

Support in identifying training needs of project staff and stakeholders.

Support the organization of capacity-building activities, including logistics and documentation.

Assist in the development of training materials and coordination of training sessions.

Collaborate with the Knowledge Management team to document and disseminate best practices and lessons learned.

Maintain organized records and archives of project documentation and outputs.

Provide administrative assistance including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and procurement support.

In collaboration with the admin unit, assist in the preparation of purchase orders, and other administrative documents as deemed required

Ensure timely processing of project-related administrative tasks in coordination with relevant FAO units.

Perform any other related tasks as required.
