Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Role:
The Role Technical Authority Expert is part of Managed Services deliveries, in line with Ericsson Operations Engine. This Role is responsible for technology leadership, expertise & support extending through the full cycle of Create, Sustain & Evolve for its respective domain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Splynx AAA servers to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Manage and enforce user profiles, access policies, and service plans within the Splynx AAA platform, ensuring alignment with network and security standards.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance, apply system patches, and execute version upgrades to maintain platform stability and security.
- Administer enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring reliability and uptime.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, VPNs (LAN-to-LAN and remote clients), IDS/IPS,WAF, and NAC systems.
- Ensure all network configurations, access rules, and device backups are up to date.
- Conduct periodic reviews of logs, configurations, and audit trails to detect potential vulnerabilities or violations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and coordinate with vendors or service providers as needed.
- Recommend and implement upgrades or new technologies to improve performance and security.
- Develop and execute operational work plans supporting network and security initiatives and following customer agreed process.
- Liaise with internal teams (database, systems, applications) to resolve issues or support new deployments.
- Maintain updated network documentation, topology diagrams, and change management records.Authority:
- Access to all necessary information to carry out the assigned responsibilities effectively and in-line with company directives.
Qualification, Experience & Technical Competencies:
- Bachelor s degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5-10 years in Telecom Industry
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in network and security administration, including AAA systems such as Splynx.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, NAC, PRA, and Load balancers.
- Proficiency in routing, switching, and wireless network management.
- Experience in Fortinet firewalls, WAF, and Forti-analyzer
- Experience in A10 LB, Meraki devices, Cisco routers, SWs and Firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- The work can include travel to locations where SL Operate or customer/MA
