Technical Authority Expert (EDA)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform health checks, configure alarms, and automate routine operational tasks to keep the nodes related to Provisioning (EDA) and Mediation (EMM) healthy.
• Perform preventive maintenance, patch updates, and software upgrades on the node.
• Analyze and provide resolution of production fallout orders, ranging from data manipulation, SQL scripting, and DB updating to reformulating XML to help orders move along in the provisioning system.
• Analyze total rejects and the impact on revenue, and report, analyze, and answer defects.
• Support requirement collection of new changes.
• Support the Development team in testing new deployments.
• Handle TT & CSR by working with support/vendors to fix critical or hardware issues in the node.
• Ensure that solution documents are properly updated for any changes, along with other operational documents.
• Provide overall system administration of EDA and EMM nodes.
• Perform end-to-end troubleshooting for issues related to the EDA platform, fault management, user management, software/hardware management, configuration management, and use cases, and handle Trouble Tickets / Change Requests as per SLA/WLA and Customer Service Requests (CSR) for complex faults.
• Handle emergencies and provide on-call support (24x7).
• Manage solutions for customized Business Object templates and reports.
• Coordinate with the local SPOC and customization team.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for 3PP hardware support.
• Demonstrate administrator-level experience in Business Objects, Citrix, or similar tools.

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience of which at least 2 year must have been spent working on EMA/EDA system.
• Good Knowledge & Skills on System Administration of Ericsson Dynamic Activator (EDA) and Ericsson Multi Mediation (EMM).
• Node integration knowledge in EDA.
• Basic knowledge of JAVA, SHELL SCRIPTING, SOAP UI, GIT, SOAP API.
• Should have good knowledge & understanding on:

1. 1. Linux OS.
   2. EDA architecture and provisioning flows along with EDA adaptations.
   3. EMM architecture and mediation flows along with mediation customizations.
   4. release update/upgrades on EDA.
   5. Telecom domain.
