Roles & Responsibilities

Occupation Summary:

  • Central technical liaison/point of contact for all OEM attendance and Technical Office Support requests coming from bases and point of contact with designated SPRC project logistics assistant to receive updates on all orders and requests from bases.

Key Duties and Tasks:

  • Direct liaison/Point of Contact between Bases, Technical Office, Logistics Department, outside agencies (OEMs) and Operations management staff.
  • Receives and uploads documents to defects raised in CPMS in support of outside intervention.
  • Co-ordinates Technical Office base visits and OEM attendance with base staff, receives invoices for OEM visits and checks they are correct before forwarding them for payment.
  • Checks and updates OEM technical documentation in CPMS and updates bases as required.
  • Base point of contact for any problems or change requests for MTI cards.

Required Education:

  • Technical engineering certification preferably in a Maritime Engineering discipline.
  • Alternatively secretarial certification along with some technical experience as mentioned below

Required Skills:

  • Fluent in technical English language both written and spoken.
  • Able to successfully conduct meetings with OEM and technical staff to ensure positive outcomes and set attendance targets are met.

Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years engineering or logistics experience maritime is preferred but not essential for the role as this can be gained.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite of applications.
  • Able to create and manipulate basic spreadsheets and reports.
