Roles & Responsibilities

Ingolstadt,
Germany

As Technical
Architect, you will coordinate, analyze requirements, design solutions,
implement/support in implementing solutions, review solutions (code, design)
and provide alternative solutions for Android Automotive based IVI HMI
Application features (like Tuner, Media, BT, Phone, ECall, Voice Assistant,
Projection etc.). The Candidate should have a sound knowledge of Android HMI
Applications and Framework

Responsibilities

Responsible for requirement analysis, design
solutions, implementation, reviews of the functionality in Android based IVI
HMI Applications
Responsible for multiple component ownership (From requirement
analysis till integration) for Android based IVI HMI Applications
Ensure the
implementation of defined unit and integration test strategies, test cases and
document the achieved results
Ensure integration testing and verification for
the functional area and its features.
Ensure traceability, consistency of
requirements and feature maturity
Communicate with clients on day today basi
Mentor
junior team members to guide and assist them in completing their tasks on time.
Mentor
junior team members on requirement analysis, design, development, Kotlin
language, unit, and integration test.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent.C1/C2
level German and English proficiency.
5 8+ years of Android application
development experience.
Preferred: 3+ years of Android Automotive IVI or Android
application development experience.
Strong expertise in Kotlin and Modern
Android Development using Jetpack Components (KTX, AppCompat, LiveData, Room,
ViewModel, Data Binding, Paging, Jetpack Compose).
Hands-on experience with
Clean Architecture and Android application development.
Experience developing
Android-based IVI features such as Media, Bluetooth, Phone, Voice Assistant,
Tuner, ECall, and Projection.
Experience with unit and integration testing using
JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, and PMD.
Knowledge of Android application build
systems, Android Framework, AOSP architecture, and related build tools.
Previous
participation in at least one production software program and experience
developing test coverage for Android HMI applications.
Understanding of
responsive UI/HMI development using the Android Framework.
Experience working
with software development life-cycle methodologies and Agile cross-functional
teams.
Strong leadership, planning, organizational, mentoring, analytical,
problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
Creative, innovative,
experiment-driven mindset with a passion for next-generation automotive user
experiences and successful product development.
Knowledge of the latest HMI and
automotive experience trends.
Familiarity with UML, design concepts, design
modeling tools, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
Previous participation in
at least one Android-based IVI production program.
Knowledge of VHAL, Car
Framework, and Android Automotive systems.
Understanding of Android components
including Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, and Treble
Architecture.
Knowledge of IPC and communication protocols such as D-BUS, MOST,
EAVB, and SOME/IP.
Experience using Android Studio, JIRA, Confluence, Git,
Gerrit, and GitHub
