Summary of the role:

The Technical Manager provides strategic leadership and technical oversight across multidisciplinary design teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects. The role is accountable for design integrity, regulatory compliance, resource optimization, and timely project execution, while serving as the main liaison with clients and key stakeholders. By driving collaboration, innovation, and best practices, the Technical Manager ensures consistent project excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and designers, allocating resources, balancing workloads, and establishing realistic project schedules.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and effective coordination of project workflows across the entire lifecycle in collaboration with Architecture, Design, and MEP departments.
  • Pay close attention to fine details and develop projects step by step in coordination with clients and other disciplines.
  • Understand land potential, constraints, client spatial and financial requirements, building codes, and regulations to achieve client satisfaction, preliminary permits, and unique architectural designs.
  • Review and refine designs prepared by lead designers, providing constructive feedback, suggesting improvements, and collaborating on final design decisions.
  • Transform sketches and concepts into detailed Revit models for construction documentation and project coordination, ensuring high-quality and coordinated 3D outputs.
  • Serve as a third-party reviewer, conducting technical assessments of deliverables from other teams to ensure compliance, quality, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to explore products and solutions that align with the design while considering construction feasibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify potential technical challenges, and implement solutions to minimize project delays or quality issues.
  • Develop and enforce design standards, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Mentor and train team members, supporting their professional development, technical skills, and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure all projects achieve high-quality outcomes, are delivered on time, and comply with safety requirements, codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise and act as a primary point of communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain design integrity and support smooth project execution.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contract documents, construction drawings, and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a balance between design vision and construction feasibility throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Architecture or a related field.
    • Professional certifications relevant to the field are preferred.
    • Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in technical project management, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a consultancy environment
    • GCC Project Experience is required.
