Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and material specifications for furniture manufacturing projects.
- Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure project requirements are accurately translated into manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including bills of materials, work schedules, and progress reports.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to optimize material usage and production efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams during the manufacturing and assembly phases.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address any technical challenges or delays.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of materials, hardware, and finishes for furniture projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical office or engineering role within the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of furniture production processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant CAD software and project management tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a home-based environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience in cost estimation and resource planning.
