Roles & Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Technical & Commercial Quotation Preparation:
- Convert client requirements into professional technical files (component specifications, performance data, application notes) that support the technical case.
- Prepare the commercial structure (FOB, freight, insurance, customs/clearance, bank charges, net price, suggested margin) in coordination with Sales and OEMs to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
- Prepare closed tender envelopes for public sector tenders, assembling all supporting documents that increase win probability (certificates, performance records, compliance documents, company s documents, licenses).
- Data Management & Reporting
- Upload proposals and related documentation to the Data Base, and update Offers Report weekly.
- Produce Cash-Flow per PO (R3) to indicate timing of client payments and expected disbursements to OEMs/suppliers.
- Tender Analysis & Market Research
- Study tender documents in depth, select the most technically and commercially suitable machine, and use historical tender references and competitor pricing as inputs.
- Execute competitor comparison studies to identify our machines strengths and weaknesses and propose market penetration strategies with Product Manager and Sales Director.
- OEM & Supplier Liaison
- Maintain effective communication with OEMs for up-to-date product data, special pricing requests (SPRs), and confirmation of lead times and spare parts availability.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Logistics, Technical Office, Finance and After-Sales to secure requirements for PO execution.
- Support Sales Engineers
- Prepare standard and customized Client Presentations for every model including clear selling points, use-cases, and technical justification to persuade customers technically and commercially.
- Create Technical Comparison Sheets for each model that highlight strengths & weaknesses, and provide pricing/negotiation recommendations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems related to Trucks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to create detailed technical quotations, reports, and documentation.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with internal departments and customers.
- Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with technical drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in a technical office or engineering role, preferably in the truck sector.
- Strong knowledge of truck systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
