Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Review and approve architectural, structural, and MEP drawings related to malls and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with approved concepts, tenant requirements, and local regulations.

  • Review and follow up on licensing drawings and approvals for commercial developments, including coordination with authorities when required.
  • Supervise and review soil investigations, soil reports, and associated costs for commercial sites.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and value engineering proposals related to commercial construction.
  • Prepare, review, and approve invoices for concrete works, finishing works, and subcontractor claims, ensuring alignment with contracts and progress on site.
  • Review and approve steel purchase invoices in coordination with the Purchasing Department.
  • Manage contracting processes, advance payments, and financial follow-up for contractors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, cash flow projections, and future cost estimates for commercial projects.
  • Coordinate with Leasing / Commercial, Sales, and Customer Service teams regarding tenant handover requirements, design modifications, fit-out conditions, and related costs.
  • Review and technically assess tenant modification requests prior to contracting to ensure feasibility, cost accuracy, and impact on project timeline.
  • Verify quantity take-offs and BOQs with technical office engineers in case of discrepancies.
  • Conduct site visits to address structural, architectural, or soil-related issues and provide technical solutions.
  • Review quality control reports, including concrete cube test results from ready-mix stations, and approve mix designs and release ratios.
  • Ensure all works comply with commercial standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical support during mall operation preparation and tenant fit-out stages.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Architecture Engineering or Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 10 15 years of experience in technical office roles, with proven experience in commercial, mall, or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong background in architectural, structural, and MEP coordination for commercial developments.
  • Solid experience in shop drawings review, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost control.
  • Proven experience in licensing drawings and dealing with authorities related to commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction standards, tenant requirements, and fit-out processes.
  • Hands-on experience in contracting, subcontractor management, advance payments, and claims review.
  • Excellent understanding of project scheduling, cash flow planning, and cost forecasting.
  • Ability to review and approve material submittals, invoices, and steel/concrete works.
  • Experience in site problem-solving, including structural and soil-related issues.
  • Strong coordination skills with Sales, Leasing, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Contractors.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, and familiar with Primavera / MS Project.
