Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Technical Sales Engineer for Data Centers, you will drive growth by selling certifications, testing and advisory services, building partnerships, and staying point of contact throughout the delivery of customer projects. Your role involves refining sales approaches aligned with data centre market trends and relevant stakeholders (such as clients and consultants’) needs while fostering relationships with existing customers to ensure business growth and long-term collaboration. This dynamic role offers the chance to innovate and expand the organization’s presence for Data center services across the Middle East.
Your Tasks:
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue from data center services including QA/QC, Data Center assessments advisory, Certification, and Testing & Commissioning.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with data center owners, colocation providers, hyperscale’s, system integrators, consultants, and contractors.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through contract closure.
Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and bids.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and scope in alignment with company objectives.
Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and leading associations to enhance T?V S?D's market presence.
Technical & Solution Selling
Act as a technical advisor to clients, understanding their data center requirements and recommending appropriate service solutions.
Work closely with delivery teams to define scope, methodologies, timelines, and resource requirements.
Support clients through certification processes (e.g., ISO 22237, ISO 27001, cyber security).
Provide pre-sales technical support, including RFP/RFQ responses and solution architecture discussions.
Client Relationship Management
Develop long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the sales & delivery cycle.
Ensure customer satisfaction by aligning sales commitments with delivery execution.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the service portfolio.
Market & Industry Engagement
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the data center industry.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Provide feedback to management on market demands and service improvements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field); MBA or commercial qualification is a plus.
5–10 years of experience in technical sales, business development or project management within the data center industry
Proven experience selling data center services such as QA/QC, Data Center assessments advisory, Testing & Commissioning, or Certification.
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, BMS, fire protection, redundancy concepts).
Familiarity with emerging power technologies, and physical infrastructure standards such as TIA-942, UTI, or ISO 22237 is advantageous.
