Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement and Support:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key clients in the food production and processing sectors.
- Identify client needs and offer customized solutions based on technical expertise.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Design and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
- Set and monitor sales goals and track performance metrics.
3. Technical Consultation:
- Provide expert technical support on food products, production processes, and industry standards.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in food technology and industry trends.
- Facilitate the conceptual selling of probiotics and other specialized ingredients, offering technical guidance throughout product development.
4. Sales Support and Coordination:
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings.
- Assist in the creation of sales materials, presentations, and product positioning.
- Develop and implement effective product messaging and positioning strategies.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
- Track sales performance and prepare detailed reports on metrics and progress.
- Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Present sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
6. Market Research and Strategy Development:
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and product segments.
- Develop and implement strategies for market penetration and product commercialization.
7. Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Keep detailed records of client interactions and meetings.
- Monitor competitor products and market activities to stay competitive.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a sales role within the food industry.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of food industry processes, regulations, and product knowledge, particularly in probiotics.
- Familiarity with Food Safety Management practices.
Skills:
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
- Sales and Marketing: Strong sales skills with a history of meeting or exceeding targets; experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
- Leadership: Experience in managing and motivating a team; fostering a positive work environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at building and maintaining relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills; ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.
- Project Management: Effective project management skills and high integrity.
