Travel Requirement: Candidate must hold a passport enabling full and easy mobility across the Middle East (Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, KSA, Oman, Bahrain).


We are seeking a high-impact Business Development & Operations leader to drive growth of production chemicals across upstream oil & gas operations in the Middle East, managing key NOC/IOC accounts, overseeing end-to-end commercial and operational performance, and contributing to strategic market expansion with full P&L ownership.

This role is ideal for a commercially strong and technically credible professional with proven experience in oilfield chemical services, client relationship management, tendering, contract negotiations, and regional business development.

The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between customers, operations, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure service excellence, contract performance, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.


Brief about company :- VPM Oilfield Specialty Chemicals is a Joint Venture between Versalis, the Petrochemical & Specialty Chemicals giant - a subsidiary of Italian O&G Eni - and Petrochem Performance Chemicals (PPC) one of Mazrui Energy group of companies. VPM is set out to be the commercial arm for both partners specialized in; providing Production Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals to the customers in the Middle East and the GCC particularly.

PPC specializes in drilling fluids and associated equipment services. We increase customer asset value through the provision of cost effective, customized technical solutions in the drilling and completion fluids, solids control, filtration equipment, and waste management services. Our geographical territory covers the Middle East and Caspian with current operations in the UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, and Yemen.

Designation :- Operations & Sales Manager – Production/Oilfield Specialty Chemicals (Upstream Oil & Gas)


Role Overview: The Operations & Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the company’s portfolio of chemical solutions for upstream oil & gas applications, with a focus on asset integrity, flow assurance, and production optimization. This role combines commercial leadership with operational coordination and technical understanding, ensuring effective delivery of chemical programs while driving business growth across the region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients (IOCs and NOCs), ensuring contract performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term retention

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within upstream oil & gas operators and service companies

  • Lead and coordinate tendering activities, including preparation, review, and submission of commercial and technical proposals

  • Manage the full commercial offer process, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with company strategy

  • Coordinate local support functions (logistics, supply chain, and administration) to ensure efficient service delivery

  • Support R&D in the development and adaptation of chemical products based on field feedback and client needs

  • Act as focal point between commercial, operational, and technical teams

  • Oversee field activities when required, including monitoring of chemical treatments and alignment with client expectations

  • The role carries full P&L ownership, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance, not limited to revenue targets

  • Contribute to strategic planning and market positioning in the Middle East region


Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field

  • 8–10 years of experience in a chemical service company within the oil & gas sector

  • Proven experience in upstream chemical applications (asset integrity, flow assurance, production optimization)

  • Strong knowledge of the Middle East oil & gas market

  • Hands-on experience in chemical treatment management, including field trials, troubleshooting, and technical support

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial roles, including contract management and business development

  • Fluent in English; Arabic is highly preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the Middle East region. Proven management and supervisory experience is mandatory, individual contributor background alone will not be sufficient

  • Demonstrated experience working with IOCs and NOCs is required; familiarity with key regional operators such as ADNOC, ARAMCO, and BASRA Oil is strongly preferred

  • Must hold a passport that allows visa-free or easy-access travel across GCC and Middle Eastern countries (e.g., UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq), this is a preferred condition for shortlisting
