Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary/Objective
The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for assisting the BDMs team by providing technical support and engaging with clients to identify their needs. This role includes conducting product demonstrations, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery. The Technical Sales Specialist focuses on building client relationships, acquiring product knowledge, and participating in training sessions to empower clients in utilizing products effectively. This entry to mid-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their technical sales skills and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Client Relationships
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with clients to understand their technical requirements and business challenges
Participate in regular check-ins and follow-ups to understand their technical requirements and business challenges and to ensure client satisfaction.
Conduct Needs Assessments
Help identify client needs through structured assessments and discussions.
Gather information to support the development of tailored technical solutions.
Present and Demonstrate Products
Conduct basic product demonstrations under supervision to showcase features and benefits to potential clients.
Assist in engaging presentations that effectively communicate product value.
Assist with Sales Activities
Support the implementation of sales strategies to meet revenue targets and enhance market presence.
Analyze basic sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with Internal Teams
Work closely with the BDMs, marketing, and technical teams to ensure alignment on product offerings and messaging.
Participate in team meetings to share insights and support collective goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or a related role.
- Inbound Certification (Preferred)
- Sales Enablement (Preferred)
- Content Marketing (Preferred)
- Google Fundamentals of Digital Marketing or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience working with Zoho CRM and other Zoho solutions.
- Acceptable knowledge in customization using Java, Deluge
- Understanding sales, marketing, accounting, and HR processes is a must.
- Business strategy and market development knowledge with demonstrated analytical and business modeling skills.
- Must be passionate about technology and creating great customer experiences.
- Ability to influence and drive results in a complex technical and business environment, including ability to communicate and influence various internal stakeholders and across functions (such as marketing, sales, services, customer success and finance).
- Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable work environment.
- Articulate verbal communication, professional business writing and presentation skills
