Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed and accurate MEP shop drawings, ensuring they meet project specifications, design intent, and industry standards, including clash detection and resolution.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into the overall building design, resolving any conflicts efficiently.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP design documents, identifying discrepancies and providing solutions for design challenges while adhering to project timelines.
- Produce comprehensive submittal packages, including shop drawings, cut sheets, and material specifications, for client and regulatory approvals, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field; a strong foundation is crucial.
- Holds relevant certifications, such as LEED AP or professional engineering licensure, demonstrating commitment and expertise.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP shop drawing production, showcasing proven experience and proficiency.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, NEC, ASHRAE), ensuring compliance in all designs.
