Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring daily network connectivity and infrastructure stability across all systems and devices, providing first-level technical support for MSC branches, and coordinating with the data center for server and routing configurations. Monitoring system updates and collaborating with infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth business operations.
- Ensure network connectivity across the company s LAN/WAN infrastructure including attendance machines, UPS units, CCTV monitoring systems, access points, routers, switches, firewalls, telecommunications, queuing systems, and customs SW software in alignment with GVA IT regulations on a daily basis.
- Assist in configuring routing protocols and routing tables and administer servers in coordination with the MSC Egypt data center.
- Provide first-level support for MSC branches, including installing and configuring new desktop computers, resolving password issues via MIM, and supporting printers, 4G/ADSL routers, office phone devices, software applications, and security updates.
- Troubleshoot and promptly resolve emergency or unplanned requests to ensure uninterrupted business operations, particularly during director-level meetings.
- Follow up with users on the progress of required Windows and hardware driver updates via the Security Center platform, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with infrastructure team leaders to create tickets on the SNOW portal for reporting or inquiring about unresolved issues affecting local users, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor and manage IT hardware inventory by tracking all incoming and outgoing items and archiving receipts in accordance with MSC Egypt standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor s degree of a relevant discipline is a must.
Language: Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Specialized knowledge:
- In-depth expertise in designing and configuring LAN/WAN networks.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware.
- Proficiency in network server administration and IP management.
- Comprehensive skills in operating system installation/configuration.
