Roles & Responsibilities

Our client, a multinational company based in Dubai is currently looking for an After-Sales Service Technical Engineer Rotating Equipment (Compressor). The position may be based in either Dubai or Saudi Arabia; therefore, the candidate should be willing to work in either location as required. You will be responsible for after-sales service support for Process Gas Compressors across the Middle East, India, and Africa. The role combines technical support, customer relations, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive Support
    • Regular customer visits and technical meetings
    • Proposal of preventive maintenance and service solutions
    • Advisory support for spare parts planning
    • Overhaul scope discussion and technical clarification
  • Troubleshooting
    • Emergency first-response coordination
    • Root cause analysis and discussion with the technical team
    • Technical explanation and reporting to customers
  • Field Service & Coordination
    • Arrange supervisory services and coordinate site mobilization
    • Support dispatched supervisors
  • Workshop Technical Support
    • Evaluate and assess partner workshops in advance to ensure technical capability, facilities, manpower, and quality standards
    • Collaborate with the technical team on all necessary technical and commercial matters
    • Plan and coordinate overhaul, maintenance, and repair activities
    • Review inspection findings and determine necessary corrective actions
  • Technical Communication & Documentation
    • Interpret engineering drawings
    • Prepare technical explanations and reports for customers
    • Communicate technical matters with the engineering team
  • Sales Support
    • Provide technical support to the sales team for service proposals and quotations
    • Define and clarify technical scope of work for commercial offers
    • Support cost estimation and technical justification for pricing

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience with rotating equipment (compressors, turbines, pumps)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 50%)
  • Strong interest in mechanical systems and engineering
