Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Executes preventive and corrective maintenance according to the Supervisor's instructions, fully complying with SOPs and Site Safety rules and regulations.
  • Carries out periodical checks/maintenance inspections stated on the checklist.
  • Use suitable PPE for work safety; any fencing/cover/door opened for any work/reason must be closed immediately after completing the task before the machine is turned live.
  • Maintenance of Electrical/Mechanical Components in the System, fault analysis & troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with all the Electrical drawings in the Panel & understanding of electrical connections.
  • In case of a baggage jam or any other problem in their work area, they will immediately intervene in line with the applicable procedure and close coordination with the control room.
  • Ensure that means of communication through radio are always available and remain in close contact with his supervisor and other staff of BHS.
  • Analyze and seek continuous improvements in the field.
  • Takes charge of the tools required for the shift’s job task and ensures proper usage and maintenance.
  • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and takes appropriate precautions during working hours.
  • Safety: Will be responsible/accountable for following occupational health, safety, security, environment, and quality.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma/Industrial Training/ITI in Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Operation & Maintenance of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment for Industrial Automation Plants/Manufacturing/ or baggage/material handling systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of operations, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of industrial Automation Plants/Manufacturing/ or baggage/material handling systems.
  • Able to adjust and modify equipment according to Engineering changes and actual situations.
  • Good understanding of Baggage/Material Handling Systems flow.
  • Analytical, good at problem diagnosis and root cause analysis, etc.
  • Reviewing and assessing current processes and deduction of improvements.
  • Awareness/Knowledge of quality/safety procedures.
  • Being able to be responsible for a small group of maintenance assistants.
  • Good communication skills in the English language, and it is essential to have worked in different cultural areas adapting to the cultural work ethics.
