Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform electrical maintenance work to maintain assets, plants, or equipment, ensuring safe, continuous, and reliable operation, which is crucial for Borouge's operational efficiency.

Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on all types of equipment independently, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.

Conduct major and minor repairs on critical equipment during shutdowns, maintaining data logs to ensure compliance with Borouge's maintenance standards.

Perform scheduled predictive, preventative, and proactive maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring adherence to international standards and prolonging equipment life.

Operate, repair, and perform functional testing of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with recognized standards and enhancing operational safety.

Conduct new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment, ensuring adherence to technical instructions and operational parameters.

Perform assigned jobs as per risk assessments, complying with ADNOC HSE Procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Comply with all HSE and fire-related rules and regulations, observing all requirements stringently to maintain a safe workplace.

Support plant operations during emergencies, shutdowns, silent hours, and start-ups, ensuring continuous and safe operations.

Participate in the company's On Call system design for handling unplanned shutdowns and process upsets, ensuring quick response and resolution.

Propose improvement ideas to enhance HSE, maintenance programs, and equipment reliability, contributing to Borouge's continuous improvement culture.

Observe the status of equipment during routine inspections, reporting any defects to relevant lines to ensure timely corrective actions.

Coordinate and follow up with contractors and other external parties as required, ensuring seamless collaboration and project execution.

Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities for new projects, ensuring smooth integration and operational readiness.

Discuss work assignments with supervisors, examining faulty equipment to determine the scope of work and obtaining necessary tools and spare parts before starting the job.

Identify spare parts required for maintenance work from manufacturers' drawings and spare parts lists, ensuring availability and timely repairs.

Provide technical feedback in the SAP notification for jobs performed, ensuring accurate documentation and continuous improvement.

Report through proper communication channels on assigned tasks, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Perform time writing in SAP for all activities performed, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of maintenance activities.

Maintain necessary housekeeping in the workplace, ensuring a clean and organized environment that supports efficient operations.

Operate and maintain the Electrical workshop, keeping equipment and testing tools in good condition as per OEM recommendations.

Maintain personal tools and housekeeping in the Electrical workshop, ensuring they serve their purpose according to defined KPIs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma in Electrical, or any equivalent technical qualifications.

Technical diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field from a recognized technical institute.

Experience in various Electrical equipment and their maintenance and trouble shooting.

Familiar with Electrical plant safety procedures and maintenance of quality procedures/records.

Effective communication and technical report writing skills in English.
