Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

�️ 1. Installation & Commissioning

  • Install AC systems (Split, VRF, Package units)

  • Assist in commissioning of chillers, AHU, FCU

  • Ensure proper system setup and testing

� 2. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

  • Perform scheduled servicing of HVAC systems

  • Clean filters, coils, ducts, drain lines

  • Check gas pressure, airflow, and temperature

  • Maintain PM checklists and logs

⚠️ 3. Troubleshooting & Repairs

  • Diagnose faults (cooling issues, gas leaks, electrical faults)

  • Repair compressors, motors, thermostats, sensors

  • Replace defective parts and components

  • Attend emergency breakdowns quickly

� 4. Monitoring & System Operation

  • Monitor HVAC systems through BMS (Building Management System)

  • Ensure proper functioning of chillers, AHUs, FCUs

  • Maintain temperature and air quality standards

� 5. Equipment Handling & Tools

  • Use tools like multimeter, pressure gauges, vacuum pump

  • Handle refrigerants safely and correctly

  • Maintain tools in good condition

� 6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain service reports and job cards

  • Record maintenance activities and faults

  • Update logs for audits and inspections

⚡ 7. Safety Compliance

  • Follow electrical and mechanical safety procedures

  • Use PPE (gloves, helmets, safety shoes)

  • Ensure safe handling of gases and equipment

� 8. Coordination & Teamwork

  • Work with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians

  • Coordinate during major repairs or shutdowns

  • Support other maintenance teams when required

⏱️ 9. Emergency Response

  • Attend urgent breakdown calls

  • Restore systems with minimal downtime

  • Work in shifts or on-call duty if required

� 10. Energy Efficiency & Optimization

  • Identify energy-saving opportunities

  • Ensure systems run efficiently

  • Suggest improvements or upgrades

Desired Candidate Profile

� Education & Certification

  • ITI in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Electrical / Mechanical

  • Diploma in Mechanical or HVAC (preferred)

  • HVAC certification or technical training (added advantage)

�️ Experience

  • 1–3 years (junior technician)

  • 3–5+ years (experienced technician)

  • Experience in facility management / maintenance companies (UAE preferred)

  • Hands-on work with:

    • Split AC, VRF systems

    • AHU, FCU, Chillers

� Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems & refrigeration cycle

  • Electrical troubleshooting (motors, wiring, controls)

  • Preventive maintenance and servicing

  • Fault diagnosis & repair skills

  • Basic knowledge of BMS (Building Management System)

  • Ability to work under pressure (breakdowns/emergencies)
