Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Handle all incoming and outgoing calls through the PBX/switchboard system with courtesy and accuracy.

Direct calls to guest rooms, staff, or departments as needed.

Take and deliver guest messages efficiently and discreetly.

Log service requests, technical issues, and guest incidents accurately in the system.

Maintain updated records of extensions, staff directories, and room numbers.

Support room service by ensuring orders are recorded and delivered promptly.

Monitor automated systems such as CCTV during non-operational hours for engineering or maintenance.

Respond to emergency calls following proper safety and communication procedures.

Maintain a calm, professional tone while handling guest inquiries or complaints.

Keep records of call charges and ensure accurate posting to guest accounts.

Update guest registration information in the PMS/Opera system and upload required details into CID.

Train or assist in training new operators in departmental procedures and brand service standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Prior experience in a hotel switchboard, call center, or guest services role preferred.

Knowledge of PBX/telephone systems and Opera PMS is an advantage.

Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette skills.

Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure.

Proficiency in English; additional languages such as Arabic or French are a plus.
