Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements for electrical systems.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and technical proposals for electrical works in line with client and project needs.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to gather accurate data for tender submissions.
Review and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and evaluate technical offers for electrical materials and equipment.
Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions to assess project scope and risks.
Ensure all tender submissions are completed accurately and delivered within strict deadlines.
Support contract negotiations by providing technical and commercial input related to electrical works.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and new technologies in electrical engineering.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in tendering processes and documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years and up to 8 years of experience in electrical tendering or estimation within the construction industry.
- must have design experience
- Proven experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to the construction sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents and drawings.
- Proficiency in tendering software, MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
