Tender Engineer – HV & MV Electrical Inkan Holding

We are seeking a highly skilled Tender Engineer with extensive experience in the design, costing, and proposal development of high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and control systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive, technically compliant, and commercially viable tender packages, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams, and supporting strategic bids for major clients, including SEC, Aramco, and EPC contractors.

Technical & Commercial Tendering

• Analyze RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents from clients in the HV and MV sectors.

• Prepare comprehensive technical offers, BOQs, costing sheets, and preliminary layouts for electrical systems.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop electrical layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), load calculations, and structural integration.

• Assess and estimate costs for components such as switchgear, transformers, SCADA systems, and cabling.

• Ensure design specifications comply with relevant international and local standards.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Solicit and evaluate quotations from various vendors and manufacturers.

• Optimize component selection based on cost, quality, and lead time considerations.

• Work closely with procurement to ensure budget alignment and material availability.

Client Engagement & Proposal Follow-Up

• Conduct technical presentations and clarification meetings with clients.

• Provide post-submission support, including clarifications, pricing adjustments, and compliance statements.

• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure offers align with client expectations and commercial strategies.

• Support strategic bids for major clients, including SEC, Aramco, and EPC contractors, ensuring alignment with their requirements and expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems engineering.

• PMP, Tender Management, or Commercial Certification (preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tendering or proposals related to electrical infrastructure, including HV and MV systems.

• Strong understanding of electrical component integration (switchgear, transformers, PLCs, SCADA).

• Practical experience with technical codes and standards relevant to the industry.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo).

• Familiarity with engineering software tools is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and cross-functional coordination abilities.

• Strong analytical and commercial acumen.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
