Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Tendering & Pricing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, cost estimations, and tender submissions for projects. This role requires strong knowledge of engineering principles, market pricing, and tendering procedures, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, etc.) to gather necessary inputs for proposals.
- Prepare accurate and competitive pricing in line with client expectations and company profitability.
- Develop cost estimation sheets, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost breakdown structures.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Prepare and submit tender documentation (technical and commercial) in a timely manner.
- Participate in bid clarification meetings and technical evaluations.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor pricing, and industry benchmarks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and tender requirements.
- Maintain a database of cost records, supplier information, and pricing references for future use.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Architecture Engineering
- 5 8+ years of relevant experience in tendering, estimation, or pricing in (Architecture & High-End Fit-Out)
- Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, bid preparation, and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Experience with public and private sector tendering.
- Knowledge of local and international procurement and contract procedures.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and other contract forms.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
