Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Taking off quantities from drawings and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Compare the BOQ with the site, and make a report
- Advising & billing for extra-items/Non-BOQ items / claims.
- Follow up a process of invoice both Internals and external
- Closure of Running Account bills and Final Bills with respect to the Contract Agreement and Work order
- Archiving of Invoice data according to its categories.
- Manage & study client requests and submittals from Clients, Consultants, construction job sites, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors and review tender drawings and all required technical documents such as manuals and instructions.
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
- Preparing & sending Quotations, BOQs, Technical Data Sheets, Samples, Shop Drawings, Test Reports, and Certifications as per client and/or project
Tender responsibility :
- Studying new tender set of drawings and BOQ.
- Pricing project different BOQ items with detailed price analysis.
- Proposing different suppliers and materials for new projects and tenders.
- Formulating time schedules for new tenders and projects.
- Developing tender complete package and presenting it.
- Reviewing all tender terms and conditions.
- Fulfill the pricing process properly different trades (Civil Mechanical architecture, etc )
- Building profit and loss scenarios (worst case / better scenarios).
Procurement responsibility :
- Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
- Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.

- Apply cost efficiency & risk assessment standards in setting the plan.
- Determine project design specifications, standards, budget and timescales.
- Study and prepare requests for information (RFI) for all missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during the project.
- Ensure that all drawings, documentation and records in use are reviewed, approved by the consultant.
- Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, or elevation of structures or fixtures to ensure compliance with plans and job drawing.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially consultant engineers.
- Following up site work progress and requirements.
- Coordinate with the projects co.
- Provide technical advice to technical or managerial staff regarding design, construction, or program modifications or structural repairs and participate in solving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise during the project.
- Create Methods of Statement, Calculation Sheets, Risk Assessments and other documents as requested by clients.
- Prepare and follow-up the documentation for claims and variation orders, and the deliveries of completed milestones of the project.
- Prepare daily reports to a manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market rates.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tendering, cost estimation, or related engineering roles within the construction industry.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and tendering procedures.
