Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze ITBs (Invitation to Bid) and RFQs (Request for Quotation) meticulously, identifying critical requirements and potential risks to formulate accurate bid strategies.
- Conduct site visits and surveys, if necessary, to gather necessary data for accurate tender submissions.
- Source and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiating favourable pricing and delivery terms for electromechanical materials.
- Evaluate supplier quotations, comparing prices, lead times, and quality to make informed procurement decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial clarifications to clients during the bidding phase, addressing queries and providing value-added solutions.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for tenders.
- Prepare and present bid summaries and reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Develop comprehensive technical proposals and bid submissions, incorporating detailed methodologies, technical specifications.
- Manage and maintain a database of material pricing, and equipment costs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for estimating purposes.
- Maintain a detailed record of all tender activities, including communications, revisions, and outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulations related to electromechanical materials and systems, enhancing estimating accuracy and competitiveness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Demonstrates 3+ years of progressive experience in tendering and estimation within the Oil & Gas industry, providing a deep understanding of project lifecycles.
- Exhibits a proven track record of successfully estimating and winning projects of varying scales and complexities, highlighting the ability to deliver results.
- Exhibits strong negotiation and presentation skills, allowing for effective communication and persuasion in bid submissions and client interactions.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring the production of reliable and competitive cost estimates.
- Shows a proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
