Skills & competencies • Strong knowledge of steel products, including rebar, tubes and wire rods, along with their common applications and technical specifications. • Proficiency in preparing quotations, responding to tenders and creating sales orders. • Ability to manage key accounts across distributors, construction companies and major customer segments. • Comfortable using order management tools and smartphone applications for daily reporting and follow-ups. • High levels of initiative, resilience and persistence, with a strong work ethic suited to daily field operations. • Effective negotiation and objection-handling skills, with the ability to close deals independently. • Collaborative approach and ability to coordinate with logistics, production, quality and finance functions.
Required experience & qualifications • Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience in steel, construction materials, hardware or distributor-led businesses is preferred. • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets in an on-ground sales role. • Valid local driving license or access to reliable personal transport such as a motorbike or car is preferred. • Prior work experience in West Africa is an advantage. • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, Marketing or an equivalent field.
