Test Specialist – Final (Server Manufacturing)

Role Overview
The Final Testing Specialist will be responsible for validating server functionality through structured testing processes in a production environment. The role involves executing diagnostics, identifying failures, and ensuring systems meet quality and performance standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out functional and system-level testing of server units.
Perform power-on validation and verify system readiness.
Execute stress testing using standard test tools to ensure system stability.
Analyze failures, isolate root causes, and support issue resolution.
Monitor reboot cycles and validate system behavior during restart sequences.
Verify OS boot process and ensure successful loading of Windows and Linux environments.
Configure and validate system settings through BIOS and BMC interfaces.
Perform firmware updates and ensure system compatibility post-upgrade.
Validate RAID configurations, storage devices, and controller functionality.
Maintain test records, logs, and failure reports.
Follow ESD safety practices during all testing activities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.
Contribute to yield enhancement and defect reduction initiatives using continuous improvement methods.
Perform server assembly including CPU, memory, storage, GPU, and PSU installation.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Drive yield improvement and defect reduction using Lean, Kaizen, and poka-yoke.
Technical Requirements
Good understanding of server hardware architecture
Hands-on experience with stress testing tools
Knowledge of reboot cycles and OS boot sequence
Familiarity with BIOS and BMC configuration
Understanding of storage technologies, RAID levels, and controllers
Knowledge of updating FW, Driver with different methodologies
Good understanding of OS commands
Strong troubleshooting skills at system and component level
Basic networking and IP configuration knowledge
Experience working with Windows & Linux environments
Awareness of ESD handling procedures
Ability to read and understand technical documentation
Strong understanding of server components
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Minimum 3 years of experience in server testing or electronics manufacturing
Experience in system validation and failure analysis
Strong analytical thinking and debugging capability
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of manufacturing quality practices
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies
Experience in power-on testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical documentation.
High attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of quality standards.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing.

Good to Have
Basic programming knowledge (Python).
Experience with automated or diagnostic test tools
