Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
A Testing Engineer is responsible for designing, performing, analyzing, and validating electrical and mechanical tests on cables to ensure compliance with standards and customer specifications.
� Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and type tests as per standards like:
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
Perform electrical tests:
High Voltage (HV) test
Insulation Resistance (IR) test
Continuity test
Partial discharge test
Conduct mechanical tests:
Tensile strength
Elongation
Conductor resistance
Root cause analysis of failures
Maintain calibration records of testing equipment
Prepare test reports and compliance certificates
Support audits and customer inspections
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree is required
