Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
A. JOB SUMMARY:
The Thermoforming Molds Setter is responsible for preparing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining molds used in thermoforming machines.
B. STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
- Install and remove molds on thermoforming machines according to production plans.
- Set up molds, heaters, forming plates, and cutting tools.
- Adjust machine and mold parameters to achieve required product specifications.
- Conduct test runs to verify mold performance and product specifications
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to mold alignment, heating, forming, and cutting
C. BASIC RELATIONSHIP:
- Reports to Production Supervisor/Maintenance Supervisor
D. QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
- Technical training in thermoforming or mold operation is a plus.
- Previous experience as a mold setter in thermoforming or plastic forming industries.
- Strong mechanical skills and understanding of forming processes.
E. TRAINING SKILLS:
- Ability to lift and handle molds and tooling parts safely.
- Standing, bending, and working around machines for long periods.
Desired Candidate Profile
