Roles & Responsibilities

A. JOB SUMMARY:

The Thermoforming Molds Setter is responsible for preparing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining molds used in thermoforming machines.

B. STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

  • Install and remove molds on thermoforming machines according to production plans.
  • Set up molds, heaters, forming plates, and cutting tools.
  • Adjust machine and mold parameters to achieve required product specifications.
  • Conduct test runs to verify mold performance and product specifications
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to mold alignment, heating, forming, and cutting

C. BASIC RELATIONSHIP:

  • Reports to Production Supervisor/Maintenance Supervisor

D. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
  • Technical training in thermoforming or mold operation is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a mold setter in thermoforming or plastic forming industries.
  • Strong mechanical skills and understanding of forming processes.

E. TRAINING SKILLS:

  • Ability to lift and handle molds and tooling parts safely.
  • Standing, bending, and working around machines for long periods.

Desired Candidate Profile
