Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation:
  • Assess the area to be tiled and ensure it is clean, dry, and free of any debris or contaminants.
  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, leveling, or applying adhesive materials as necessary.
  • Remove old tiles, grout, and adhesives when required.
• Tile Installation:
  • Measure and cut tiles accurately to fit the designated space.
  • Lay out tiles in an aesthetically pleasing pattern while ensuring alignment and spacing consistency.
  • Apply adhesive or mortar and set tiles in place.
  • Use tools such as tile cutters, saws, and levels to achieve precise cuts and installations.
• Grouting and Finishing:
  • Mix and apply grout between tiles to ensure a secure and uniform finish.
  • Wipe away excess grout and clean the tiles to reveal their full beauty.
  • Apply sealant to protect tiles and grout from moisture and stains.
• Quality Control:
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets design specifications, alignment, and quality standards.
  • Make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the tiling process.
• Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to prevent accidents.
• Material Management:
  • Estimate the quantity of materials needed for each project and ensure an adequate supply.
  • Report any shortages or damaged materials to the supervisor.
• Communication:
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to discuss project requirements and provide updates on progress.
  • Communicate any challenges or issues that may arise during the tiling process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Tiling Worker or similar role.
• Proficiency in various tiling techniques and materials.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in tiling.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting heavy tiles and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to work safely at all times.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Certification or vocational training in tiling is a plus.
