Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise daily drilling operations and ensure activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Coordinate and monitor rig crew performance including drillers, roughnecks, floor men, and other rig personnel.
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and company safety procedures at all times.
Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and monitor safe work practices on the rig site.
Monitor drilling progress, rig performance, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with drilling engineers, company representatives, mud engineers, and third-party service providers.
Ensure proper maintenance, inspection, and functionality of drilling equipment and machinery.
Maintain records related to drilling operations, equipment usage, safety incidents, and crew activities.
Manage inventory of drilling tools, spare parts, fuel, and consumables required for rig operations.
Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and implement corrective actions when required.
Ensure all rig personnel follow operational procedures, discipline, and work schedules.
Monitor logistics, material movement, and availability of equipment at the drilling location.
Report operational updates, incidents, and daily progress to management.
Support rig-up, rig-down, and mobilization activities as required.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 8-15 years of experience in drilling operations with onshore rigs.
Previous experience working as Driller / Assistant Tool Pusher preferred.
Strong knowledge of drilling operations, rig equipment, well control, and safety standards.
Valid IWCF / IADC Well Control Certification preferred.
Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Ability to work in remote onshore locations and rotational shifts.
