Tower Crane & Construction Hoist Installer

Key Responsibilities

• Install, erect, climb, and dismantle tower cranes and construction hoists according to manufacturer specifications.

• Conduct pre-installation checks, load testing, and commissioning of equipment.

• Inspect crane components for defects before and after installation.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Ensure proper anchoring, structural stability, and safe operation of equipment.

• Collaborate with engineers, riggers, and site supervisors.

• Maintain accurate service and inspection records.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007 and DOSHS guidelines.

• Adhere to safe lifting practices and site safety procedures.

• Use appropriate PPE at all times (helmets, harnesses, gloves, etc.).

• Manage hazard zones and participate in safety training and toolbox talks.

• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols to mitigate risks such as falling loads and structural failure.

Minimum Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Valid certification in crane/hoist installation, rigging, or lifting operations.

• 3–5 years’ experience in crane or hoist installation.

• Valid safety training (Working at Heights, First Aid, Rigging & Slinging).

• Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings and installation manuals.
