Responsibilities

• Actively navigate websites of numerous donor agencies and development partners daily to identify, classify, and post Expressions of Interest, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Applications (RFAs) and any other procurement notices. These procurement opportunities are sourced from International Development Actors across the MENA region and are relevant to nonprofit organizations, consulting firms, and individual consulting assignments.
• The officer will be responsible for skimming and reading procurement notes to classify them according to development sectors, sub-sectors, type of services, location of interest, and various other categories. This meticulous classification ensures that each opportunity is accurately categorized for easy access and relevance.
• Organizations Mapping: Search, identify, classify, and post profiles of donor agencies, international organizations, national and regional NGOs, private development consulting businesses, and other entities that fund or implement development aid projects in MENA countries. Activities include synthesizing and writing organizational overviews, classifying per DARPE classification index, and finding contact information.

Job Requirements and Skills Required

• The job requires intensive internet mining and exploration. It requires long hours staying behind the screen.
• Intensive online research, classifying and archiving information from a wide range of online sources
• Quick reading, skimming & comprehension skills in English language.
• Critical thinking and scientific guessing skills
• High attention to details
• Demonstrates flexibility, agility and good spirit of team working skills
