Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and file trademark applications with the Egyptian Trademark Office (TMO).

Handle prosecution procedures including registration, modifications, ownership transfers, mergers, and licensing of trademarks.

Conduct searches for local and international trademarks at the TMO, WIPO, and online databases.

Exchange correspondence with clients regarding the current status of their IP portfolios.

Answer clients questions and queries regarding intellectual property rights.

Draft reports on the progress and current status of trademark matters.

Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues in the Trademarks Department.

Review and prepare powers of attorney and related documents for filings.

Draft and issue invoices for expenses and fees related to trademarks.

Represent the firm before the Egyptian Trademark Office and related authorities.

Liaise with ministries, embassies, consulates, customs, notary public, and other entities relevant to trademark matters.

Follow up on certificates of renewals and recordals with the TMO.

Prepare monthly reports on the department s performance.

Review and monitor official gazettes for changes in names, addresses, and other trademark-related updates.

Stay updated on legal, regulatory, and procedural developments concerning IP in Egypt.

Ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements for filings.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor s degree.

- Minimum 5 years experience in trademark prosecution and administration.

- Strong communication and drafting skills in Arabic and English.

- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
