About the Role Metier Group has been exclusively retained by a global family office in Dubai to appoint a Trader / Assistant Portfolio Manager to join its multi-asset investment team. The firm manages a diverse portfolio across equities, fixed income, and digital assets , blending both discretionary and systematic strategies . The firm manages a diverse portfolio across equities, fixed income, and digital assets , blending both discretionary and systematic strategies . The successful candidate will take a hands-on role executing and developing trading strategies alongside senior portfolio managers within a lean, entrepreneurial structure offering autonomy and capital exposure. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute multi-asset trading strategies (spanning equities, fixed income and digital assets). Identify opportunities through bottom-up fundamental and top-down macro/momentum analysis. Conduct quantitative research and back-testing to enhance strategy performance. Manage risk, position sizing and trade execution with discipline and transparency. Collaborate with senior portfolio managers on portfolio construction and performance attribution. Produce regular risk and performance reports for internal investment reviews. Candidate Profile 3 5 years experience in trading, investment research or portfolio management. Track record within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or family office . Strong understanding of market structure, macro drivers and quantitative methods. Proficiency in Python, R, Excel, Bloomberg or similar tools for analysis and back-testing. Highly numerate and comfortable with data-driven decision making. Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics . Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
