Roles & Responsibilities
The Training & Competency Lead (Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Systems) is responsible for developing and implementing training programs specifically focused on Electronics, Instrumentation and Control Systems-related activities within the oil and gas exploration and production facilities. This role will ensure that employees possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to perform their duties efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Training Program Development:
Design and create comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific processes and operations within the oil and gas exploration and production domain. These programs should cover areas such as production operations, process safety, equipment handling, and environmental compliance.
Competency Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments of the personnel's to identify knowledge gaps and skill deficiencies. Develop training plans to address these gaps and enhance employee competencies.
Training Delivery:
Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and training methodologies. Ensure that the training materials are relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry best practices.
E, I&C-Specific Training Materials:
Collaborate with subject matter experts from the associated departments to develop specialized training materials that address the unique challenges and requirements of various processes and equipment within the organization.
Training Records and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for all employees. Ensure that training activities and materials comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Safety Training:
Prioritize safety as a fundamental aspect of the training program. Develop and deliver E, I&C-specific safety training modules to foster a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Continuous Improvement:
Keep abreast of the latest advancements and best practices related to E, I&C systems operations in the oil and gas industry. Continuously improve the training programs based on feedback, evaluation results, and industry updates.
Competency Framework:
Establish and maintain a competency framework for E, I&C-related roles, outlining the required knowledge, skills, and experience for each position.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 10 years of experience in designing and delivering E, I&C-related training programs, preferably within the oil and gas exploration and production industry.
- In-depth knowledge of oil and gas production E, I&C systems, safety, equipment operation, and environmental compliance.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to E, I&C systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.
- Experience in managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an advantage.
- Certifications in process safety or relevant training and development certifications are a plus.
- Arabic Language communication skills will be considered as an added advantage.
