About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Training Manager to join the resort s Surveillance team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Design, implement, and continuously improve training curriculum for new hires and existing staff within surveillance operations. Ensure that all training materials reflect current industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats to gaming security.
Conduct engaging and informative training sessions, including classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, simulations, and e-learning modules. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and skill levels.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, observation, and performance metrics. Implement improvements based on analysis and evolving operational needs.
Maintain a thorough understanding of games, table procedures, slot operations, and potential cheating or fraud schemes. Train staff to recognize and respond effectively to suspicious activity, advantage play, and other risks.
Foster an environment of ongoing professional development by offering refresher courses, advanced training, and certifications. Encourage staff to stay informed of industry trends and technological advancements.
Maintain accurate records of all training activities, attendance, curriculum updates, and individual staff progress. Prepare training reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
Serve as a mentor and resource for the surveillance staff
Assist with after-action reviews of security incidents, identifying training needs and opportunities for improvement based on real-world scenarios.
Stay current on surveillance technologies, such as CCTV, analytics software, and access control systems. Train staff to use these tools effectively for monitoring, investigation, and reporting.
About You:
In-depth knowledge of gaming operations, including table games, slots, cage operations, gaming regulations, and game protection techniques.
Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs using a variety of instructional methods.
Familiarity with modern surveillance technologies, such as digital video management systems, facial recognition, and incident reporting platforms.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
Ability to foster a positive team environment and inspire trust and confidence among staff.
Sound understanding of game protection principles. Must understand all games and advantage play opportunities.
Sound understanding of gaming and financial operations, game technologies and all gaming equipment.
Sound understanding of gaming mathematics.
Sound understanding of management strategy. Familiar setting aggressive goals and motivating the team to achieve those goals.
Strong organizational skills and must possess the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management including senior executives.
Follow instructions and be able to work independently as well as perform in a team environment.
Thorough knowledge of all regulations.
Ability to professionally read, write and speak English.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team of professionals in a high-stakes, high-security environment.
Excellent time management and organizational capabilities to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Flexibility to adjust training programs and methods in response to emerging threats, changes in technology, or evolving regulatory landscapes.
Commitment to upholding the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Comfort with various platforms for delivering training, managing records, and operating surveillance tools.
Majority of work will be done in an office environment. Occasionally this role will be required to work in public areas of the resort or outdoors.
Ability to stand or sit for an entire shift.
Must be able to watch monitors for an entire shift.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in gaming surveillance operations, with at least 2 years in a training or leadership capacity.
- Bachelor s degree preferred.
- Minimum age 21.
