Roles & Responsibilities

Translate written materials from English to Arabic and Arabic to English while preserving meaning, tone, style, and context.

Use SDL Trados and other CAT tools to manage translation projects, maintain translation memories, and ensure consistency.

Review, proofread, and edit translated documents to ensure linguistic accuracy and clarity.

Adapt complex legal, technical, and scientific terminology using reliable sources and specialized glossaries.

Ensure the final translated version is grammatically correct, well-structured, and formatted according to internal standards.

Conduct in-depth research on terminology, legal expressions, scientific terms, and industry-specific vocabulary to maintain accuracy.

Build and update terminology databases and translation memories in SDL Trados.

Utilize specialist dictionaries, reference books, and online legal/technical resources to ensure precision.

Prioritize and manage multiple translation assignments to meet tight deadlines.

Maintain organized files, records, and archives of translated documents in digital and physical formats.

Summarize, analyze, and compile content when required by internal teams.

Handle sensitive information with discretion, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.

Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional communication standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Translation, Linguistics, English, Arabic Studies, or related field.

5 7 years of professional translation experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.

Proficiency in SDL Trados (mandatory) and familiarity with CAT tools, terminology databases, and translation workflows.

Native-level Arabic proficiency and excellent English command.

Strong research, writing, and editing skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to adapt writing tone and style to match the original material.
