Overview

This role requires contributing to a variety of transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.

• Experience in undertaking junction analysis to support the traffic impact assessments.
• Contribute to preparation of reports including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis and parking assessments.
• Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Some experience project/financial management.
• Competence to assist in growing the Atkins Transport Planning Business as well as to sell Atkins services generally.

About you

• Bachelor s degree in traffic engineering, transport planning or traffic modelling.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning with Operations and Maintenance railway project exposure.
• Knowledge of International public Transport Planning standards and procedures.
• Has worked within a team.
• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
