Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations, including fleet management, route optimization, and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient movement of materials.
Develop and implement transportation strategies that align with ZeroCarbon s goals.
Coordinate with logistics, operations, and supply chain teams to support the integrated treatment and disposal of municipal solid waste and the delivery of alternative fuels.
Monitor and analyze transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national transportation regulations and environmental standards.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, vendors, and contractors to ensure high service quality and reliability.
Lead, mentor, and develop the transportation team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Implement and maintain transportation management systems (TMS) and leverage data analytics to drive operational excellence.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Prepare and present regular reports on transportation performance, KPIs, and sustainability metrics to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 6 years and up to 9 years of progressive experience in transportation management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Proven track record in managing large-scale fleet operations and optimizing transportation networks.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
Ability to develop and manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Willingness to work onsite and travel as required to operational locations.
Strong understanding of industrial fleet operations, heavy-duty vehicles, and site transportation requirements.
