Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

u>1- Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.

u>2- Functional:

u>Cash:

  • Manages the availability of cash to cover day to day operational and commercial needs.
  • Controls and manages daily cash position, identifying immediate FCY & local currency needs by following market developments to meet timely obligations.
  • Head and direct all the daily transactions for all country companies performed by the payment team.
  • Coordinates with the group(CFT) regarding any cash flow and working capital forecasts submissions.

u>Risk management/ FX:

  • Lead all executed FX transactions on Lafarge E-Treasury suite on a timely basis to ensure accurate and effective reporting of FX deals.
  • Take the necessary action to Identify & analyze currency risk exposures and hedge FX risks and ensure best FX pricing and handle the FWD/SWAP deals.

u>Bank Relationships & Funding:

  • Prepares the needed documentation as per the instructions of the Country Head of Treasury.
  • Recommends changes of debt structure & currency balances where favorable saving costs.
  • Manages the dialogue between banks and companies in facilities renewal, and ensures proper reflection of company s data.
  • Negotiates with various banks regarding funding and faculties to make sure the company is receiving the best in market prices and tariffs.

u>Policies:

  • Process owner of Lafarge Egypt, Treasury and Insurance Controls and MCS, responsible for managing the documentation, implementation of all three functions controls and evidences in order to ensure effective controls are in line with Group and Country internal control requirements.
  • Ensure that Group Minimum Control Standards related to Treasury and Insurance management are implemented & regularly tested.
  • Monitor strictly the adherence of treasury transactions & documentations both internally and externally to Group Treasury policies and procedures, ensuring its consistency with Group Best Practices.

u>Project Management:

  • Heading treasury projects including but not limited to Fawry Plus, Corporate credit cards and payments efficiency projects.

u>Trade:

  • Responsible of preparing of operational entities needed documentation for issuance of Letters of Credit/ Letter of Guarantees for local and overseas importation of production line equipments & spare parts, & finalizes bank endorsement of related documentation thus avoiding unnecessary charges & penalties (demurrage).
  • Closely monitors the payments due dates to avoid any late settlements & prepares the required documentation for the timely settlement of L/Cs payments.
  • Resolves any pending issues pertaining to importation documents endorsement with the procurement department and banks.

u>Operations:

  • Assists in ensuring accuracy & proper authorization of all functions related outward documentation for better time management, reducing fraud & compliance risks.
  • Keeps updated with banks' latest technology products (e-banking), tools and services that could be useful as well as assist in preparing any needed documentation for application of new features or products.

u>Reporting:

  • Develops Egypt holdings daily, monthly, quarterly and annually Treasury reports required by the group or country management & ensures meeting the deadlines.
  • Coordinates with all concerned departments to gather the data required for preparing accurate Treasury cash forecast reporting.
  • Assists in the consolidation and preparation of country quarterly cash/debt reporting on SAP.

u>Relations:

  • Supervising treasury coordination team to provide the R2R team with all needed data prior to monthly closing (debit and credit interest estimation, bank statements, cash investments position )
  • Provides banking connections all the needed data for facilities renewal, credit analysis, and compliance procedures.
  • Supervises daily banking operations for Country Entities

u>Mentoring of subordinates

  • Supervise, nurture and develop subordinates to reach their maximum potential.
  • Heading the payables coordinator and the admin team, ensuring all deliverables are met in the most efficient way.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting.

span>Technical Skills:

  • Financial Analytical Skills
  • Excellent English Language
  • Fluent SAP user
  • Excellent Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Credit Course
  • CTP is a plus

span>Experience:

  • From 6 to 8 years of experience in banking and corporate sectors
