Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Continuously update and maintain the Binders database for monitoring and tracking purposes.
  • Organize, file, archive, and manage data or records for statistical analysis and reference.
  • Assist in generating statements of accounts for proportional and non-proportional treaties.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to clients (e.g., invoicing, documentation, claims) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Track the claims register and follow up with cedants on outstanding claims.
  • Review loss records at notification stage to ensure alignment with agreed terms.
  • Perform data entry of claims and update records in the system for reference and tracking.
  • Maintain and update claims documentation and physical files for proper record-keeping.
  • Assist in generating closings (e.g., debit and credit notes), ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence with insurers and reinsurers to facilitate communication and request information or documentation.
  • Review and generate placement cover files for all business lines, endorsements, and special agreements (e.g., no claim bonus, profit sharing, fronting fees, co-brokerage fees), ensuring compliance with binding processes and preventing coverage gaps.
  • Conduct technical reviews of placement slips and generate cover notes/contracts in line with agreed correspondences.
  • Review cedants and reinsurers closings to ensure consistency with contractual terms.
  • Support administrative processes and assist in the renewal and conclusion of proportional and non-proportional treaties within deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Brokers on queries and pending issues to prevent miscommunication.
  • Respond to placement and accounting queries, including payment follow-ups.
  • Review slips and assist in preparing prior submit lists by completing key data (e.g., name, inception date) for approval and referral-based agreements.
  • Perform sanction checks within agreed timelines to ensure compliance with binding agreements.
  • Handle endorsement confirmations in line with cover notes and reinsurer agreements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent in a similar field
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is preferred
  • Insurance/Reinsurance products & practices awareness is a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
