Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Translate written and spoken content between Turkish and English while preserving original meaning and context.
  • Accurately handle idioms, neologisms, slang, and potentially inappropriate language to ensure contextually safe translations.
  • Perform technical or AI-related translations with precision.
  • Utilize translation tools and software efficiently.
  • Participate in professional video conferences (MS Teams, Zoom) as needed.
  • Maintain fast and accurate typing skills in both Turkish and English.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree with a major in Turkish Language.
  • High proficiency in Turkish and English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  • Proven experience translating documents, preferably technical or AI-related.
  • Strong understanding of idioms, slang, and technical terminology.
  • Basic understanding of AI terminology and concepts.
  • Familiarity with translation software and professional video conferencing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Turkish phonetics, lexicons, and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Turkish and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable typing in both Turkish and English.
  • Relevant experience in professional translation and interpretation.
