Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Perform periodic process reviews and risk assessments; identify system/process discrepancies, limitations, and revenue leakages; conduct qualitative analysis; and compile data for KPIs and analytical reports for Senior Management.
  • Maintain reconciliation standards through regular review of reconciliation functions and internal controls; review all reconciliation nominals, follow up on open items to ensure closure within stipulated timelines, and investigate high variances in liaison with stakeholders for resolution.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams and stakeholders to drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation; escalate anomalies and provide recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Assist auditors in coordination with the Finance Controller and handle queries related to quality controls, reports, and procedures.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies related to agreements, circulars, and reconciliations, ensuring accurate interpretation and updates for continuity and completeness.
  • Analyse data using trends, comparative analysis, and industry benchmarks; escalate observations impacting yield or causing revenue leakage for corrective action.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop the team to maximize accuracy and productivity, ensuring deliverables are completed cost-effectively and in line with KPIs.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Finance systems to ensure requirements are met.
  • Manage revenue accounting and audit of passenger revenue recognition, sales liability, interline billing, receivables, and expenses in line with IATA regulations; ensure accuracy and timely reflection in monthly financial statements.
  • Identify revenue leakage and discrepancies within Revenue Accounting; ensure corrective actions are taken and escalated in line with SOPs to protect company revenue.
  • Perform completeness and integrity checks in financial systems; liaise with internal teams to meet closing disciplines and monthly deadlines.
  • Evaluate codeshare contracts, interpret complex clauses, and ensure accurate inward/outward billing; highlight discrepancies where applicable.
  • Ensure billing disputes on complex agreements are resolved within required timelines as per RAM (IATA) and Codeshare Agreements/SPAs.
  • Manage codeshare partner relationships and conduct operational audits as per agreements; analyse OAL tickets/coupons on EK metal to identify yield dilution or fare discrepancies and assess impact.
  • Liaise with OAL, Commercial, Revenue Optimisation, and IATA to resolve queries, disputes, and issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct pre- and post-closing reviews to ensure accurate and complete billing and accounting.
  • Support external audits by addressing queries and providing required justifications.
  • Support Team Lead with analytical and compliance data for key decisions, interline reporting, and escalations.


Desired Candidate Profile

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Ability to analyze and review accounting statements and reports in detail.
  • High level of computer literacy, with strong knowledge of office automation software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Critical thinker with strong investigative and analytical skills.
  • Experience specific to EKRS and Revenue Master Management.
  • Experience in handling fare/tax audits and master management functions, preferably within an airline environment, in a supervisory capacity.
  • Practical experience in specifying and testing revenue accounting related system changes is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in revenue accounting functions, including passenger fares, cargo, proration, and interline billing.
