Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Issue clean uniforms to staff members, record uniform allocations, collect worn uniforms for cleaning, and maintain accurate records of uniform transactions for tracking purposes.
- Coordinate uniform fittings, size exchanges, and replacements as needed, ensuring that employees have well-fitted and presentable uniforms for their roles.
Laundry Processing and Care:
- Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold uniforms according to care instructions, fabric types, and color codes, using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to maintain garment quality.
- Inspect uniforms for damages, stains, or wear and tear, perform minor repairs or alterations, and coordinate with external vendors for specialized cleaning or repairs when necessary.
Inventory Management and Stock Control:
- Monitor uniform inventory levels, track usage patterns, and reorder supplies as needed to ensure an adequate supply of clean uniforms for staff members.
- Conduct regular stock checks, update inventory records, and coordinate with suppliers to replenish uniform stocks and maintain uniform quality standards.
Uniform Room Organization:
- Organize the uniform room layout, arrange uniform racks, shelves, and storage bins, and maintain a tidy and efficient workspace for storing, sorting, and distributing uniforms.
- Implement a systematic approach to uniform storage, labeling, and retrieval to facilitate quick access to different uniform types and sizes for staff members.
Quality Control and Inspection:
- Inspect laundered uniforms for cleanliness, check for stains, wrinkles, or damages, and ensure that uniforms meet grooming standards and presentation requirements before distribution.
- Implement quality control measures, address any issues or discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of uniform maintenance, repairs, and replacements for tracking purposes.
Employee Assistance and Customer Service:
- Assist staff members with uniform needs, provide guidance on uniform care and maintenance, address uniform requests or concerns, and deliver timely support to ensure employee satisfaction.
- Foster positive relationships with employees, respond to uniform-related inquiries, and provide courteous and efficient service to promote a professional and well-groomed appearance among staff members.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate reports on uniform inventory, usage rates, cleaning schedules, and maintenance activities to track uniform operations, identify trends, and plan for future uniform needs.
- Maintain detailed records of uniform transactions, repairs, alterations, and replacements, ensuring accurate documentation and data management for operational analysis.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols, handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely, use protective gear, and follow hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment in the uniform room.
- Comply with uniform policies, grooming standards, and dress codes, and ensure that staff members adhere to uniform guidelines and presentation requirements while on duty.

Education, Qualifications:
